object type: Wide bowl with circular central motif of a ship in full sail on a swirling sea, with sailors and seagulls,  in ruby on a white ground. Surrounding this, on the inside of the bowl three ruby and white fantasy dolphins swim in a ruby sea. The design is highlighted with pink and bronze.  On the outside, a band of ruby arches and pink fleur-de-lys motifs is set on a white ground,above two broad bands of ruby. There is a further, narrower, band of ruby around the foot ring and three more on the underside, which is slightly concave and glazed.
