object type: White lead-glazed earthenware, moulded, lead-glazed, and painted in pale shades of blue, green, yellow, pink, flesh-pink, puce, a little red, brown, grey, and black enamels. The back of the shoulders is uncoloured and has a central ventilation hole The bust is supported on a circular black socle on a square base. The Virgin faces front with her head turned slightly to her left and slightly downwards. Her head is covered by a pale yellow shawl decorated with puce and blue sprigs, which falls down over her left shoulder. She wears a pink gown with a pale green edging.
