The shallow flared sides resting on a very low slightly tapered foot and moulded with twelve tulip-like blooms beneath the barbed rim edged in gilding. The interior with a large central medallion depicting a Chinese lady and an European gentleman in a frock coat riding in a simple wooden carriage pulled by two dappled horses, a driver holding a whip seated astride one horse and an attendant walking behind holding a large parasol above the heads of the couple; all in iron-red and gilding within a double line border in underglaze blue.
