The saucer has a central conch shell encircled by 'pearl', lozenge and musical stone emblems, all in yellow and dark aubergjne, reserved against a ground of spiralling waves pencilled in black with foaming white crests, strewn with florettes and applied with a rich emerald-green translucent enamel; the rim is encircled by waves breaking on either side of four jagged aubergine rocks.
