The sides are shallow and rounded, and the rim is broad and everted. The centre is finely painted with a large leaf shaped medallion, the edges furled and slightly decayed, showing three quail on a grassy bank besides sprays of pink rose, dianthus, daisy, and millet growing behind blue pierced rockwork. Reserved against a pink cell-diaper band. The rim with three vignettes of peony, rose and chrysanthemum, reserved against an intricate composite floral scrollwork border within a pink trellis-diaper band.
