The unglazed underside of the base has a circular ventilation hold near the back. The rounded rectangular base has a wavy edge at the back, and three low scroll feet at the front. It rises up at the back into a broad tree stump with, on each side, a short projecting branch bearing applied flowers and leaves. The girl sits with her right foot crossed over her left. Her head is turned three-quarters to her right and she has three flowers attached to the hair at the front. She holds out a bunch of flowers in her right hand, and supports a bouquet of flowers on her left arm. Her hat rests on her left knee. She has brown hair, and wears a pink jacket over a chemise with a posy of flowers tucked into the bosom, and a yellow flower at the waist. Her yellow skirt is tucked up at the back, and her petticoat is decorated with a floral design. Her shoes are yellow with pink flowers on top. The flowers on the stump are orange, and there is a pink, yellow, and orange rose and three leaves on the viewer's right of the base, and two yellow and orange daisies and four leaves on the left.
