DESCRIPTIVE DATA

object type: Earthenware, tin-glazed on the interior and exterior; base unglazed. Painted in bright blue, bluish-green, dark yellow, and manganese-purple. Slender, extremely waisted albarello with recessed base.
On each side is a tulip with branching, curling leaves above and below, which curve round to meet at the sides. The blue ground has spirals incised through it. The sloping area above the base is decorated with highly stylised buds and foliage between two pairs of horizontal blue bands. On the shoulder there is one blue band, and on the neck there are two.
