The shield-shaped back has two suspension holes at the top below moulded scrolls, and at the bottom a receptacle for Holy Water, formed by an applied half-cone moulded in relief with a winged cherub's head. On each side there is an applied twisted column with a pointed leaf at the base and a three-dimensional cherub at the top.
