  <description>
    <value>Biscuit porcelain, hand-modelled, rolled, and folded, with pale blue and green stained details. A don and his wife standing on a roughly oval base pierced by two oval holes. Both figures step forward on their left leg, as if facing a breeze which blows their clothing out behind them. The don wears a collar and tie, waistcoat, jacket, striped trousers, an academic gown, and shoes, and carries a mortar board under his left arm. His wife wears a blue hat with a green and white floral spray on it, a dress covered by a blue and green patterned coat, high-heeled shoes, and a bangle on her right wrist. Her right hand is raised to hold her hat onto her head. The group is supported on a rectagular wooden base.</value>
