The bowl is not quite circular, with deep gently curving sides rising from a very narrow base, which has a small circular depression in the centre, surrounded by a flat, ground-down zone on which the bowl rests. The sides are decorated with an integral 'haloes spiral' in shades of brown which is visible on the interior and exterior.
