The deep curved sides are of trellis weave, and the flat rim of interlaced arcading with a plait round the inner edge. The two handles are each formed by a prickly rose stem with a secondary stem branching from it and curving downwards to the rim where there is a small flower, a bud, and five leaves (different on each side).
