On the viewer\u2019s left is a high square pedestal supporting a large ovoid urn decorated with gadrooning, swags, and foliage. Andromache stands on the viewer\u2019s right with her right leg crossed over her left. She leans towards the urn with her right arm around its upper part and her left hand touching its lower part. She has a green garland over her greyish-brown hair which is dressed with a low chignon at the back. She wears a long pale mauve dress scattered with darker mauve floral sprigs, detached flowers, and spots, and has narrow turquoise drapes around the low neckline and armholes. On her feet she has reddish-brown sandals. The pedestal has a blue border at the top and bottom. The urn has green and dark green foliage on the top of its cover, a row of blue spots, a reddish-brown horizontal band with green swags below, and a wider reddish-brown band round the foot.
