Salted paper prints

Scope note

Photographic prints whose light-sensitive salts are in the fibers of the paper rather than in a binder; the image is positive and is printed out rather than developed out. Use "calotypes" only for paper negatives made by Talbot's patented calotype process. Use "photogenic drawings" only for Talbot's printed-out paper negatives.
