Gamekeepers

Scope note

Use for those privately employed, as on an estate or private game preserve, to provide a natural environment conducive to the health and propagation of game, prevent poaching, and assist the employers or other authorized persons in hunting. For public officials who enforce the game laws of a jurisdiction, use "game wardens."
