Flemish spout lamps

Scope note

Spout lamps, usually made of sheet brass, having a cylindrical reservoir with a domed or conical cover and a single wick tube with a drip-catching channel immediately below, mounted on a standard with a weighted base. Of a type detailed in a painting of the Flemish school.
