Betty lamps

Scope note

Lamps having a shallow font of oval or pear shape with a wick support attached to the bottom of the font at the narrow end, usually partly or fully covered by a hinged or sliding lid and often a half-bail support at the end opposite the wick support with an attached halbred hook and wire wick pick.
