High chests of drawers

Scope note

Tall case pieces generally having seven or more drawers, and divided by a cornice into two sections, consisting of a lower case resembling an enlarged dressing table and an upper case resembling a chest of drawers. For equivalent English pieces, use "tallboys (furniture)."
