Ardabil carpets

Scope note

Refers to two carpets traditionally thought to have been made for use at the Ardabil shrine. Also, term applied to any carpet made in India, Turkey, Iran, or elsewhere that copies the original carpets made for use at the Ardabil shrine; and any 20th century carpet made in the area of Ardabil.
