Equatorial sundials

Scope note

Sundials, of several varieties, whose dial plate is tilted so as to lie parallel to the earth's equator and whose gnomon is perpendicular to the plate at its center, pointing to the north celestial pole; the layout of the hour lines is not dependent on latitude.
