Pot-pourri vases

Scope note

Covered vaselike containers characterized by pierced decorations on the shoulder or cover, or both. Intended primarily for liquid pot-pourri. For similar containers, often vaselike in form, in which aromatic pastilles may be burned or liquid perfumes evaporated, use "cassolettes."
