Small vessels with two vertical handles and a thin upcurving spout near the bottom used for drinking posset and for feeding invalids. Typically made of ceramic or glass and sometimes having a cover. Formerly a term used in Britain for caudle cups or other ceramic cups with one or more vertical handles but no spout.
