Hot water urns

Scope note

Vessels intended to hold or dispense hot water in connection with the serving of tea or coffee, often urnlike in form and having one or more taps and a spigot near the base; usually supported on legs or a stand and often having a heating device. May be part of a tea or coffee service. Prefer "tea urns" for similar vessels intended to hold or dispense tea and which may be part of a tea service. Prefer "coffee urns" for similar vessels intended to hold or dispense coffee and which may be part of a coffee service.
