Pyramids (containers)

Scope note

Composite pieces consisting of an arrangement of sweetmeat glasses or jelly glasses on a glass salver with a tall glass in the center. They were often made in three graduated tiers. For composite pieces consisting of a tall glass stand with small basketlike dishes suspended from branching arms, use "sweetmeat stands."
