Off-white earthenware, the upper surface covered with an opaque white slip or glaze, painted in turquoise, green and sealing-wax red and black under a clear glaze. Oblong with bevelled edges. Interlacing stems bearing saz and smaller, smooth-edged leaves and flowers; at each end, half of an arabesque-filled medallion; blue ground. Production Notes: Turkish, Isnik Dimensions: height: (whole): 15.8 cm, length: (whole): 25.0 cm Date: 1570 to 1600
