Islamic Pottery/Figurine/Lustre ware. Unknown Maker. Figure of a hawk, hollow, with feet and wings attached to a plinth base. Decoration: seated figures in dotted robes and headdress, reserved on a lustered ground within a medallion, predominate over the body and plinth where they are contrasted by scrolling vegetation painted in lustre. Fritware, mould made, coated in a white glaze painted in lustre, height, whole, 47 cm, width, whole, 25 cm, length, whole, 26.5 cm, circa 1179-1198. Seljuk Period. Iranian.
