An image of Studio Ceramics. Contemporary Craft. Slate asymmetric vase. Lee, Jennifer (British, b.1956). The smooth, rounded sides rise outwards and upwards from a small flat base with a concave depression in the centre. They continue upwards and contract before widening slightly towards the rim. On one side the contraction is very slight, and on the other more extreme so that it produces a shoulder. Hand-coiled and coloured stoneware, shaded reddish-purple, buff, cream, and grey, with black speckles, coloured wtih red crocus martis (iron), red copper oxide, copper carbonate, and granular manganese dioxide, height, whole, 27.8 cm, width, whole, 12.2 cm, 1991. Gift of Nicholas and Judith Goodison through the National Art Collections Fund.
