Design for a tapestry; a group of figures making music in an architectural setting. Jordaens, Jacob (Flemish, 1593-1678). Black and red chalk, pen and brown ink, grey and brown wash, on paper, height 199 mm, width 255 mm. Production Note: formerly attributed to Erasmus Quellinus (1607-1678). This may be a study for a planned extension to Jordaens' house; the gabled door and balustrade are similar to what exists and there is no reason why this should be a tapestry design.
