Silver dish with 'PAX', by Omar Ramsden

An image of Silverware. Dish. Ramsden, Omar (British, 1873-1939). Of quatrefoil shape, standing on a foot-ring. In the middle a meallion bearing the word 'PAX' in monogram (peace), and the date '1938' in relief, surrounded by a wreath of barley, fruit, flowers and foliage, with the number '4' at the top. The underneath of the base inscribed 'OMAR RAMSDEN ME FECIT'. Silver with hammered surface and applied cast and chased ornament. C.1938-39. London, England. Notes: The dish was made to commemorate the Munich Peace Treaty signed by Chamberlain and Hitler on 30 September 1938.
