Willow Pattern Plate, by Wessex Collection

An image of Willow Pattern Plate. Wessex Collection. Circular with a slightly wavy edge, sloping rim with slanting fluting, shallow sides and flat centre, with a raised ring on the reverse. The flat area is occupied by the Willow Pattern with three figures on the bridge and two bvirds flying overhead. This is surrounded by a border comprising four wide V shapes enclosing a rectangular motif with incut corners, alternating with panels of ribbon diaper. The rim has a broad dense border comprising panels, plants, rectangular and circular motifs, with a small diaper patterned background, and round the edge, radiating rows of tiny circles. White ceramic body, moulded, and printed underglaze in blue. Height 2.5 cm, diameter 25.5 cm, circa 2000-2015. Chinoiserie.
