'Mei Ping' vase with baluster body. Production Place: China. Finely drawn and painted in dark blue with two figures in a garden scene flanked by pine trees and rocks. The glaze is high piled in places. The base has a broad band of stiff leaves, the shoulders have reserve barbed medallions of lotus flowers on a ground of petals, the small neck is decorated with miniature symbols. Hard-paste porcelain, height 33.7 cm, 1400-1499. Ming Dynasty (1368-1644).
