'Mei Ping' vase with baluster body, finely drawn and painted in dark blue with two figures in a garden scene flanked by pine trees and rocks. The glaze is high piled in places. The base has a broad band of stiff leaves, the shoulders have reserve barbed medallions of lotus flowers on a ground of petals, the small neck is decorated with miniature symbols.
History note: Sold Sotheby's July 3rd 1956, lot 61, bought by Sparks.
