Peasant's dress in coarse, cream coloured, linen embroidered with polychrome silks in cross, half cross, double running, Romanian and woven insertion stitch. The skirt is made up of four widths of linen with a band of smocking upon the gathers of the front width. The bodice has a long and narrow, oblong neck opening with an embroidered border. Over the shoulder runs a border like that on the skirt.
