Band sampler, linen, embroidered with polychrome silks in buttonhole, cross, Holbein, satin, trellis and holliepoint stitches. The sampler is divided into 15 alternating wide and narrow horizontal rows of repeat border patterns, an alphabet, the date 1655 and the inscription 'IOANNA WARRENDER.
