Description

Band sampler, linen, embroidered with polychrome silks in cross, darning, satin and double running stitch. The sampler comprises 11 horizontal bands which include the name ' ANNE LANE', an alphabet and the date '1673', repeat border patterns. The 8th. border is composed of alternating hands and birds; the 9th of snails and acorns.
