Band sampler, linen, embroidered with linen and silk threads in cross, eyelet hole, double running, double hem, faggot and satin stitch. The sampler comprises 17 horizontal bands of repeat border patterns, an alphabet, 'boxers', the name ' ELLIN LAMBERT', the initials 'EL', and the date '1677'.
