Band sampler, linen, embroidered with polychrome silks in chain, cross, double running, running, satin and needle lace filling stitches. The sampler comprises 14 horizontal bands which include repeat border patterns, 'boxers', sprigs and the inscription 'IP 1682'.


History note: Purchased by the donor December 30, 1911
