Maker: Hall, Betty
Band sampler, linen, embroidered with polychrome silks in cross, eyelet hole and satin stitch. The sampler comprises three sections, which are separated by narrow borders. The top section contains alphabets, the middle section also contains alphabets as well as, numerals and various bands of repeat border patterns. The lower section comprises more alphabets, a row of crowns, numerals and the inscriptions 'Betty HALL 1701' and 'Deliver Me From Mine/ ENeMies O GOD DefeND / Me FroM MINe ENeMies / ThaT RIse UP AGAINSt...'.
