Band sampler, linen, embroidered with polychrome silks in cross, eyelet hole, double running and satin stitch. The sampler comprises 16 horizontal bands; the top 15 contains repeat border patterns and the bottom band has the inscription 'Ann Wise 1710' and the initials "I W"
