Maker: Edmonds, Mary
Band sampler, linen, embroidered with linen thread and polychrome silks in cross, eyelet hole, Holbein, Rumanian and needle point lace stitches. The sampler comprises 20 horizontal bands featuring repeat border patterns, alphabets, the name and date ' Mary Edmonds 1682', and the inscription 'IS 13 YEARS 4 MONETHS 1669'.
