Description

Band sampler, linen, embroidered with polychrome silks in cross-stitch. The sampler is divided into 24 horizontal bands featuring alphabets, numerals, the crucifixion, the Instruments of the Passion, a man with keys, a spinster, a parrot on a spray, a stag, a lion, a pierced heart, flowers in a vase, all-over patterns, repeat border patterns, simple lines and the initials 'ICS CSE'.
