Description

Darning sampler, linen, embroidered with red and dark blue woollen, pink silk and white linen threads in darning stitch. The sampler has 26 darns arranged into 6 bands; these include whitework, damask darn, inserted darning and stocking web darn. One of the darns contains the initials 'IFH'.
