Description

Linen fragments embroidered with mono chromered silk in cross and long armed cross stitch.

The fragments have numerous patterns including: all, over, border, edging with zigzag, rectangles, octagons, geometrical, stylized animals, birds (eagles, gryphon) lion, mule, lamb, peacock, swan, unicorn, flowers (carnations, pomegranate)

These fragments were bought in London made up into the borders of a bedspread but they were of different techniques and so were unpicked.
