Description

Folding fan, kid single leaf. Painted with a Biblical scene in dark colours. Shaped and carved ivory sticks and guards, the latter strengthened by mother-of-pearl by the rivet. Green stone rivet.

History note: Colonel Leonard C. Messel (1872-1953); his daughter Anne, Countess of Rosse (1902-1992)
