Description

Cockade fan, Blonde horn, sticks and guards with trefoil ends, pierced and painted in bodycolour (26+2). Blue silk ribbon threaded through. Silver quizzing glass set in the central pivot. Front: when open the fan has a scalloped edge. The pierced design radiates from the centre in bands of scallops, interrupted by swags of polychrome flowers and foliage. Back; the floral swags are painted in blue, white and green. Handles/guards: pierced by two wheel motifs, a bow and stylized leaf sprays.
