Ivory sticks and guards with arched serrated ends (23+2), pieced and painted in bodycolour. Cream silk ribbon. Steel rivet with ivory washers. The central section of the fan opens four ways, showing four scenes:
l. A young woman with a basket of flowers over her right
arm, seated under a tree in a garden.
2. A youth playing a lyre, seated under a tree in a
landscape.
3. A peasant girl with a pot on her head, walking in a
wooded landscape with a barn in the background.
4. A basket of flowers, including pansies and roses.
Sticks: The pierced design comprising zig-zags formed by vertical lines, ogees and stylized plants is arranged in horizontal bands on either side of the central panel. Above the ribboning there are three plants motifs on each stick.
Guards: Vertical stylized plant sprays with two rosettes at the top
