Folding fan, double leaf of cream silk decorated with inset criss-crossed gut, silver foil ribbon, silver sequins and painted gold dots. The upper edge has a silver binding. Sticks of pierced and silvered ivory, backed with mother-of-pearl; guards of pierced, carved and silvered ivory backed with mother-of-pearl (12+2). Rivet set with clear pastes. The criss-crossed gut forms fifty-two oval peepholes in vertical groups of four, edged with silver foil ribbon, between which are wavy lines of sequins attached by stitching. Along the top there is a wavy line of sequins and gold dots.
