Description

Folding fan of double silk, appliqued with painted mother-of-pearl, painted and varnished watercolours.
Sticks of ivory and tortoiseshell. Guards of tortoiseshell.

History note: Colonel Leonard C. Messel (1872-1953); his daughter Anne, Countess of Rosse (1902-1992)
