Folding fan of net and silk, single leaf. Embroidered with silver foil and frosted silver stamped metal paillettes, gilt paillettes, and sequins.
Sticks and guards of pierced, gilded, and silvered ivory, the latter with gilt metal backing.


History note: Colonel Leonard C. Messel (1872-1953); his daughter Anne, Countess of Rosse (1902-1992)
