Wide-ended folding fan, decorated, obverse: with pine and wisteria by a riverbank; reverse: with schematised swallows and butterflies; the "sky" on both sides with diaper and floral patterns. Guards: with modified cat's eye pattern (nekome). Guards: bamboo, lacquered and pierced. Sticks: bamboo. Face: heavy paper, painted in ink, and polychrome opaque watercolours, with gold wash, gold and gold on a red ground.
