Calligraphy and translation by Jila Peacock.

Each poem is translated into English by the author with the Persian text presented in the shape of an animal or bird on the facing page. A plain text version of the poems in Farsi is included at the end.

"Published in Glasgow by Jila Peacock in an edition of 50 with 3 artists proofs and 2 archival copies August 2004. Text editor: Joe Staines. Typeset in Optima by Murray Robertson. Screenprinted at Glasgow Print Studio by Jila Peacock in collaboration with Scott Campbell. Printed on Somerset Soft White 175gsm and Tenjin mould made 42 gsm with Kozu Natural 34 gsm as interleaving. Bound at the Wyvern Bindery by Oscar Sanchez Lozano."-- t.p. verso. Museum has copy no. 7 signed by Jila Peacock. Bound in turquoise cloth, stamped in silver on front cover with title and illustration of peacock; slide flap with illustration of Nightingale. 18th century marbled endpages. Protected by black cloth cover, with red edging and cords.
